We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not legally required to do so.

In short

We only process personal data where this is necessary to run this website and to handle your enquiries. We do not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services and do not create user profiles.

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Every time the website is accessed, the server automatically stores the following data in log files:

• IP address
• date and time of access
• page or file requested
• previously visited page (referrer)
• browser and operating system used

We need this data to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix errors. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. IONOS deletes the log files automatically after the period it has defined. We have concluded a data processing agreement with IONOS in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

SSL/TLS encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption, indicated by “https://” in your browser’s address bar. Data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Cookies

We only use a single, technically necessary cookie: “pll_language” stores your chosen language (German or English) for one year. No consent is required for this (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG). The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not set any other cookies.

Contact by email and enquiry form

If you contact us by email or via the enquiry form, we process the information you provide. In the form, this is your name, your email address, optionally your phone number and preferred dates, and your message.

Form data is not stored on the website but sent to us directly by email. We use it solely to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to send you a quote. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We delete your data once your enquiry has been fully dealt with. If a booking results, we keep the records for as long as required by commercial and tax law (up to ten years).

YouTube videos

On the home page and the room pages we show videos from YouTube. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Preview images: When you open these pages, your browser loads the video preview images directly from Google servers (i.ytimg.com). In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Google.

Videos: The videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and are only loaded when you click “Play” or a preview image. Only then is a connection to YouTube established. Among other things, your IP address and information about your device are transmitted to YouTube, and YouTube may store cookies or similar technologies on your device.

We use YouTube to present our work in an appealing way. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A transfer of data to the USA cannot be ruled out. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision. For more information, see Google’s privacy policy.

Fonts

The font used on this website is loaded from our own server. No connection is made to Google or any other provider for this.

Links to other websites

Our website contains links to Instagram, YouTube, Google Maps and other websites. These services are only linked, not embedded. Data is only transmitted once you click a link. From then on, the provider’s own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

• access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
• have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR)
• have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR)
• restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
