A good mix turns many tracks into a song that carries. At UFO Sound Studios we mix your music in a control room built for exactly this work, whether you recorded with us or bring your tracks from somewhere else.
The Cockpit: Our Control Room for Mixing
Our Cockpit measures 40m² and is designed for precise listening. On the Geithain RL900 monitors you hear every detail, without the speakers flattering anything. At its heart is a 48-channel Soundtracs IL4832, complemented by 24 Neve-style preamps and Merging converters (Horus, DSD & DXD ready). We mix in Pro Tools, Reaper, Pyramix or Ableton Live, whatever your project calls for.
Analog Effects You Can Hear
For space and depth we rely on classics: the EMT 140 and EMT 240 plate reverbs, plus the Lexicon 480L and TC M6000. The UREI 1176, among others, adds dynamics and punch. If you want it even more analog, we send the mix through our tape machines, such as the Studer A80 with 2″ tape.
From Band to Orchestra
We mix pop, rock, jazz, electronic music and classical. Especially with recordings from large rooms, we know how to keep the natural reverb and still create clarity. We have worked for Deutsche Grammophon, Universal and Netflix, among others, with artists such as Max Richter, Jazzanova and IAMX.
Mixing, Mastering and Video Under One Roof
On request we also handle the mastering after the mix. And if your session was filmed, we create the sound for the video at the same time.
