Recording Studio Berlin – Recordings with Real Room Sound
At UFO Sound Studios you record in a former 19th-century brewery: over 560m², three recording rooms, each with its own sonic character. Whether you are a band, solo artist, ensemble or orchestra – we’ll find the room and setup that suit your music.
Three Rooms, Three Sound Worlds
Studio A offers 180m², an 8m ceiling height and a Prussian vaulted ceiling. With 1.2s of reverb the room sounds lively and warm, ideal for bands, chamber music and ensembles.
Studio B is a 270m² columned hall with up to 4s of reverb. This is where recordings with large, natural acoustics happen, for strings, choir or orchestra.
Studio C is a 66m² live room with daylight, two booths and a Steinway A grand piano. Controlled sound for vocals, overdubs and piano.
Our 1950s Bechstein E is available in Studio A or B, depending on the project.
Analog, Digital or Both
All signals come together in our 40m² Cockpit: 24 Neve-style preamps, over 80 microphones and Merging converters (Horus, DSD & DXD ready). We record in Pro Tools, Reaper, Pyramix or Ableton Live. If you’re after the sound of tape, record to our Studer A80, Mechlabor STM-700 or Otari MTR-90, all running 2″ tape.
From the First Take to the Finished Master
Our engineers are with you from the very first take. On request we also take care of mixing, mastering and video, turning your session straight into a live session. At our recording studio in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg we have worked for Deutsche Grammophon, Universal and Netflix, among others, with artists such as Max Richter and Jazzanova.
